My sister Mary was given the GEMS award yesterday at NUH. GEMS stands for Go-the-Extra-Mile-for-Service. My sister is not sure who nominated her but she said it can be a patient, a colleague, a supervisor or one of the students she works with at the hospital. Cool huh?
