Five Minute Friday : Joy of Motherhood

Five Minute Friday

The joy of motherhood, no matter how my family tried to explain it was totally lost on me.  Not until I had a baby of my own.

It was then I discovered the happiness one feel in holding this little bundle of joy.  This little kid who, just by being who she is, makes my heart swell so much with love.

A smile given freely, a hug out of the blue. These are things that makes motherhood or parenthood well worth the pain.  This is a person who loves you no matter what.  Someone who accept you and your little quirks without explanation.  Someone who cares for you just because.

It's an unconditional love.  One that does not wait for anything in return.


note to reader:  this particular entry and others for the 5MF may seem a bit incomplete.  I find it hard sometimes to try to complete my thoughts with the pressure of finishing things in 5 minutes. But I try...

Five Minute Friday
Crowd.  There was a time in my life when I felt so lonely being in a crowd.  I think sometimes you feel your innermost sadness welling up when faced with a number of people who seems to have so much to talk about.  Friends meeting friends.  Lovers entwined in a romantic interlude.  Family having a blast together. 

I was alone then and for some reason got into the midst of a crowd going the same direction as I am.  And there's nothing more daunting than being surrounded by strangers at a time when you want to be alone. 

But they say sometimes, you can drown your sorrows in the happiness of others.  Maybe it is true. I never did find out.
