Feather Misplaced Useless

The words for this week are:

Feather
Misplaced
Useless

Feather-like kisses rain down on me
As I linger in the world of sleep
My half-awake brain churns useless thoughts
But still refused to awaken

Have I misplaced my self awareness
As I struggle to rise above
For I see no one beside me
And sleep is all I have

Dreams of him continue to haunt
And his image fills my mind
Is he real or a forced fantasy
A mere figment of my imagination

Oh, I'm voting for him being real! :)
Very nice poem and usage of the words.

I know that feeling so well. I hope that he's real

I hope he's real. For her sake, I hope he's real. But I still wonder.

I like this -- the thought and the writing both.

This poem has a nice flow and rhythm. Liked the 'wondering' aspect of it, as well!

That was my favorite part. I enjoyed it all. It reminded me of having a dream, then waking up only to wish you could return to that same dream.

It sounds like waking from this dream would be upsetting as you would have to leave the man behind. I really enjoyed this poem. Keep up the good work.

My 3WW is up if you would like to come over and read it. Hope to see you there.

Have a nice day.
