Caught Eager Perfume

The words for this week are:

Caught
Eager
Perfume

He caught himself
eagerly following
the waft of her
sickly
sweet
perfume.

He turned around
and
she’s
gone.

The only evidence
she's ever been there
is the smell
of her
that lingers
in the air.

Very pretty. This poem has a lyrical quality to it that sings.

Mmmm.. what a vivid scene you paint with such spare language! I envision strangers passing on a busy street. Very nice.

I like this, like a short scene in a movie.

This reminds me of walking down the street and smelling lots of different scents and trying to figure out which person is wearing what. Nice poem!

I find myself wishing that he could find her again and see where that could lead them. Beautiful poem. Keep up the good work.

Funny how a simple scent can so strongly affect the mind, and heart.

Princesses Can Be Bullies Too
